HISD Award for District Advisory Committee

2003-2004 Certificate of Appreciation for Participation on the District Advisory Committee

Greenway Plaza was recognized for their commitment and devotion to improving education for the students of Houston Independent School District and the community by participating in the District Advisory Committee. The District Advisory Council consists of HISD employees, teacher, community, and local organization representatives to help assist HISD strengthen the social and economic foundation of Houston by assuring its youth the highest-quality elementary and secondary education available anywhere.

Heart of Intown Award

The Houston Intown Chamber of Commerce has awarded Greenway Plaza with the 2004 Heart of Intown Award for "Dedication Education" through its FACES® of Change program.

2002
Commended for Meritorious Service by the Houston Independent School District (HISD)

2002
Excellence in Education Award

Crescent was nominated by Ms. Lynda Nieto, Principal of Southmayd Elementary School, and selected to receive a 2002 "Excellence in Education Award." The Engineering, Science and Technology Council of Houston created the award to recognize outstanding support of science and mathematics. The ECH Education Committee selected Crescent in recognition of their support of the Science Teaching Center at Southmayd Elementary School.
